Cogs turn up in the strangest places. Wedged between rocks. Half-buried in sand. Spinning gently on streams. Where they come from is one of the Night Zoo's smaller mysteries.

Without them, nothing moves. A den without cogs is a den without moving parts. And a den without moving parts is just a pile of furniture.
